1996 Chevy Tahoe

My gas needle isn't moving. When I put gas in it only moves alittle then goes back to show less than halp a tank. I fill the tank up but the needle says something else. What is the problem. It just stopped moving about a month ago.

There is a float inside of the gas tank that sends an electric signal to the gauge. It is probably failing. To fix this you must replace the entire fuel pump module. This requires droping the fuel tank ETC.
