My truck will start in the "crank" position and then die as soon as you put it in the "ON" position.
My question is;
1- what takes over once you release to the "ON" position? If it's the alternator, what wires are hot from the alternator in the "ON" position.
2- what wires are hot at the distributor in the "ON" position?
Thanks, Rick

Sorry for the late reply.

There may be a problem with ignition switch. The primary voltage to coil and fuel injectors are hot with key in the on position. If those circuits have no voltage, the vehicle will not start and run. I always check the basics first, go from there.

I realize this is an old post. You may no longer own this vehicle. In the future hope you don't have any vehicle issues, but, if you do, keep the site in mind. They are always working to improve the site and it's free.

Have a good day.
