My 2002 suburban squeels from the rear end and its getting worse. Sounds grindy and was only happening after warmed up and upon acceleration, now its doing it almost all the time and getting louder. I took to the shop to check maybe rear brakes locked but all ok there, and they said my rear differential was shot. Besides, that the found it to be a lil low on lubricant. But this is from the tire/brakes shop. Could it help to fill the resevoir? Or what would you idea be?

Hi there,

This will have to be inspected by a qualified mechanic, if the oil was low. Well you should first have the leak checked and repaired also make sure that the correct oil was used in topping up the diff, but would should get a qualified mechanic to road test this and report on the noise.
