2001 Chevy Suburban uneven tire wear

Left front wreck 2003, auto + tires fine until 9/09, left frt tire uneven wear tometal new tire drove 10 miles tire hasstarted slightscallop on outter edge everything else appears normal. What causes this condition. I hate to drive the car the wear appears rapid alignment or front end work. Thanks

Certain tire wear that is referred to as cupping can be caused by an out of balance tire or wheel or a bent rim a loose or worn tie rod or idler arm or worn front suspension parts. I would start by checking these things first since the vehicle was involved in a wreck. If all these things are in good condition have a front end alignment
