Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Chevy Suburban V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The cat was crushed in an accident and then I had both the pan and rear main leaking a lot of oil where there was never even a drop before. Is the leak caused by excessive back pressure of the blocked exhaust?

Yes a plugged cat can cause lots of back pressure and can cause the engine to sprout oil leaks.
