2001 Chevy Suburban bad cat

i was quoted $800 to replace the catilytic converters on my suburban...the shop sez its a one piece replacement from the headers....cant just take out the bad cat and weld in a new one? I see u can buy the unit online with no welding...can i install this myself? Do i need new o2 sensors also? thanks

If theres no welding involve go for it, also good idea to replace the O2 sensor/s.
