Ordered transmission from one place. It was transported to a licensed shop and they put it in. Drove it around for a few hours. Worked beautifully. Parked it. Came back out to leave hour later and couldn't move the gear into reverse. Tried several times. Eventually it did move. What's up? It's Friday night and both places are closed tomorrow and Sunday.

Hi DesertGirl2003,

Thank you for the donation.

The interlock system is preventing the gear shift from being shifted out of park.

There is a possibility the park lock cable has been installed out of adjustment or the brake lights are not working due to a faulty brake switch or a stuck interlock solenoid.
