1999 Chevy Suburban Fuel Problems

1999 Chevy Suburban V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

On my 1999 Chevy Suburban I have replaced the fuel pump twice this time I replaced the fuel pump and the fuel filter you hear the fuel pump come on and I remove the fuel filter and gas pours out when you turn the key on so I replace fuel filter as well but the truck will not start. If you spary starting fuild into the breather it will crank but once starting fuild burns up engine dies what could be the problem?
