My 97 Suburan is making my hair get greyer. I was having a problem with it getting stuck in park. I figured it was the brakelight switch. I took the switch off the rod and looked at it. I then put it back on. It worked. Next time I went to drive it, it would not come out of park. So I replaced the switch. It will come out of park one time and then not after that until I take it off the rod and then put it back on. I am totally lost on this one.

Replace the switch if you have not done so, and check the wires for damage in the wiring harness at the switch, moving it aroudn could be completing the circuit for a little bit, then going out again.
