We put 4-5 fuel pumps in before we gave up. The truck has been sitting for about a year. I started reading posts about bad wiring harnesses in these Suburbans so I decided to roll under the truck to see if there was anything I could locate & visually find as a problem.

I found a 3 wire connentor coming out of the tank of which 1 of the wires was broken.

Did this thing seriously sit for this long & there's only a broken wire? Yes it did !

But the wire is broken about 1/4 inch off the connector so there's not much wire to work with & re-connect.
I did manage to do it but it just seems like a matter of time before it comes apart again.

Does anyone know where I can get a new connector? What its technical name is?
If I find this mystery connector, can I just replace the "bad" half thats outside of the tank or is that a really bad idea?

Thank you
