I recently replaced my engine in my burb and after the swap was done a new problem showed up.
1. Anti-lock light is on faintly
2. Wipers do not work ( at all )

Attempted fixes
1. Replaced wiper motor / and board
2. Replaced ground wires engine to frame and fire wall to frame and added extra for each
3. Replaced ALL Fuses on the panel
4. Disconnected Wiper/cruise control on column from wiring harness ( problem is still there ABS LIGHT)

Oddities
1. If I turn on the A/C the ABS light goes off ( still no wipers)

2. If I turn the wipers to high the ABS Light goes off ( Still no Wipers )

3. I almost forgot when I use the cruise and it catches, the guages all will twitch and then settle down.

Is the ground hooked right to the wiper motor under the mounting bolt? Sounds like a ground got left off or isnt getting good contact. Be sure the block/frame/body is clean where the grouund wires bolt up

OK

After several visits to the local salvege yards to trace wires ( and not wreck my own ) I determined that the ground as you suggested was bad in the harness. I replaced the bad ground wire and now have a new problem. MY WIPERS WILL NOT TURN OFF! When my sub is not running but the key is in the run position the wipers will run at a canstant speed. The other issue is that when the suburban is running I have 2 speeds normal or fast but they will still not turn off! HELP!

Sounds like either the wiper module or the switch. They had alot of problems with the wiper modules in those trucks. Use a test light to see if the motor is getting power the entire time
