Hello
This is a 1988 Chev Suburban with a 5.7L motor with 90,000 original miles. The truck just started blowing white smoke from the exhaust. The oil looks perfect truck starts and runs great I am not driving it. I am looking to replace the head gasket, am I on the right track? Suggestions tips please. Thanks

Could be headgasket but first I would pull the vaccum line off of the vaccum modulator on the transmission and make sure that trans fluid is not present there due to a faulty diaphragm in the vacuum modulator. Remember trans fluid burns white too. Along with excessive moisture in the fuel
