I have a burned out daytime running lamp on a 2002 Silverado and want to avoid the HUGE cost of having it replaced at a shop. I would like to know the procedure to change it myself. Thank you.

If you open the hood and look at the headlight on the side that is out you will see to L shaped retainers. You turn those retainers to un-clip them and then they pull up and you can remove the headlamp assembly. Then you will see a retainer on the inboard side of the turnsignal/marker lamp. Push that retainer in and you should be able to take the lamp out. Change the bulb and reassemble.
