2008 Chevy Silverado Odometer Reading

2008 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Where my odometer ready should be displayed is the message "trailer gain". I have read the book and cannot find a way to get the mileage to display.

I'm not sure I understand. Is the odometer showing that or you want it to?

The odometer IS showing "trailer gain" - I want it to show the vehicle mileage.

Okay, I need you to disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes. See if that resets it. If it doesn't, take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer and then reset it.
