2001 Silverado Odometer reads /display error instead of miles driven. How do I fix it to display miles?

Odometer displays "ERROR". All other guages work in the instrument cluster.

The error has to be checked with a scan tool that can acess the ip. When the code is read, the tech will be able to tell you the failure and give you a bid.
