2006 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to re wire the 7 pin trailer wiring plug on my silverado. I have 8 wires for the harness and have figured out the turn signals, reverse and tail lights but what are the other 4 wires? The colors I have are: 3- 10ga; red, black, dark blue and 5- 16ga; brown, light bue, dark green, light green, yellow.

I really apreciate the info. Just to make sure I've got it right. The dark blue 10ga will go to the electric brake hook-up on the socket and the red 10ga. Will go to the fused battery lead on the socket. I guess the only other question I would have is, in the wiring there is a light blue 16ga. Wire that only has power with the brakes applied. I had assumed this would splice into a lead for the brake lights but, there is'nt one on the socket. What do I do with that wire? Thanks again.

Is this an aftermarket connector or an OEM connector. Sorry but its been a while since I did one of these.I'LL help as best I can. Its hard to picture the connector. Post back with what you find.

Yes it would help if you had a picture. You might also want to see if the web site that manufactors this part has a scematic or diagram, it might help.
