I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado LS 5.3L V8 with 39,000 miles. The Blower fan quit working. All of the fuses check out. I went to take it in to a local repair shop and it started working. Because it rained hard 2 days in a row, I am wondering if the water caused a short that cleared up as it dried out. If that is the case how can I prevent that from happening again?

Just had this happen to me on July 26th with my 2006 3500 Silverado Work Truck, only 9500 miles. The blower just stopped working, no fuses were bad but I wiggled a plug right near the blower under the glove box and it worked again then the next day I smelled something burning and it was melting the plug. I ended up taking out a white piece of plastic in the plug and I havent had any problems with it since.
