this happens randomly. When I start the truck it will stall unless I increase the rpm's. Most of the time it happens in the morning when the engine is cold but it can happen anytime. I've replaced the fuel pump. Last spring I was adding dry gas and over the summer I didn't have a problem.

sounds to me that you need a new coolant temperature sensor, common cause for hard cold starts.
