2000 Chevy Silverado SUCTION ON OIL CAP

WHEN I OPEN MY OIL CAP IT HAS A STRONG SUCTION ON IT WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING AND IS VERY HARD TO OPEN. WHY IS THIS?

The heat of the engine can cause the cap to "stick" tightly into the threads. Try removing it once the engine has cooled.
