How do I change the pilot bearing once the transmission is taken down

You can use a puller ie. Slidehammer type. Have taken them out with a lag bolt just slightly larger than center of bearing screw it in once it hits crank it will back out pilot.

Pack the center of the pilot bearing with grease and use a drift and bang on it-

In my 45 years I have never seen that work but have seen a lot of guys with grease on their face

Doc-Read your PM-also you can torched it out but do it fast otherwise you gonna run into problems-
