1999 Chevy Silverado Pan: Deep or Shallow

1999 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

How do I know what kind of pan I have: shallow or deep? I want to replace the filter and they gave me those two choices. And I don't know which one I have.

Is your v8 a 5.3 liter or a 4.8 liter or is the 8th digit of your vin a t or a v?

5.3L.
Would have put that in the info but they asked me that info before I wrote the question. Figured it would be included.

I crawled under the truck after I asked the question and it is not totally flat the lenght of the pan. It does step down for about 3/4 of the pan.
