1998 Chevy Silverado My truck starts but turns off imediate

My truck starts but turns off imediately. If I give it alot of gas as soon as it starts it stays on and is fine.

What do you bellieve could be the problem?

Firstly, is there a check engine light on? If not, I would check the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator, for restrictions

Ok, we have to start by checking fuel pressure, if you cannot do that, then change the fuel filter. And then we need to take a look at the pressure regulator.
