1997 Chevy Silverado Headlights

My truck's headlights cut off while driving and do not cut back on imediately. I replaced the headlight switch redently.

I had a similar issue with my 98...turned out it it was a grounding issue with the relay that controls the lights. I know that is a broad stroke...but i would start with the relay and work back from there....Did your switch burn out?
