My 1994 Ext cab 4x4 Silverado 1/2 ton will not switch from hi beams to low. It is stuck on hi. The switch clicks and the rod moves the pieces up and down with the motion of the handle. Everything seems to be plugged in correctly. When I hit the switch the hi beams flash but it still stays on hi. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First check fuse # 8 (20 amp).

Does it have daytime running lights? If so, do the DRLs work properly on low beam?

As far as I know it does not have the daytime running lights. If it does then they do not work. I will check that fuse right now.

Ok, only other thing associated with your vehicle's low beams then is the switch, wiring and bulbs. If wiring and bulbs are good then suspect faulty dimmer switch.

Checked all the fuses. Must be a faulty switch. Thanks for your help. I really do appreciate it.
