My 1990 Pick up has been to several shops and the cost is getting high. I have been told it is a fuel pump problem, its will start and idle rough, but initial start up you have to continue to hit accelerator to keep it running. When I remove air filter and check I can see fuel spraying into the TBI. Is there a service kit for the TBI, I have also heard about a fuel pressure regulator diaphram kit that can be replaced. It seems to be over fueling? Or could it just be as simple as a fuel pump. The pump is still original.

Yes. Dist cap and rotor are new. It has been on a computer and no codes or anything are present. The dealer wanted to replace fuel pump next at 1200.00 and I can do that for alot less.
