Engine Performance problem
1987 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Motor starts and runs fine with map sensor unplug but plug map sensor in it dies. Also with map sensor ubnplug when you put it in gear it will die unless you feather the gas then it will go, runs fine once you get it going down the road.

Sounds like maybe you should replace the map sensor.

I change the map sensor, egr valve and egr sol. And the idle control valve but it still dies when I plug the map sensor in or if I plug the map sensor in and unplug the vacuum line to the map sensor the motor will run but if I put it in a gear it will die. Again thank you for any and all help.

Did you reset the ECM after you changed these things?
