A FRIEND OF MINE HAS TAKEN THE DISTRIBUTOR OUT AND THEN CRANKED THE ENGINE OVER, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO GET THE DISTRIBUTOR BACK IN FOR PROPER FIRING.

Bring cylinder 1 to top dead center on the compression stroke. Install the distributor with the rotor pointing to number 1 position.
