My Chevy S-10 engine is sputtering.

It just started today. I drive a 1999 Chevy s10 pick up with a v6 engine. I stopped at a red light and it stalled on me. It started right back up, but from there out it felt like the engine was jumping to stay alive. When the AC was on it was even worse. My belt seems to be tight enough. What are some things it could definitly be?

If the check engine light is not on go for a major tune up if it hasnt been done in a while, cap, tor, wires and plugs and use gm parts, they are a bit more in price but work perfect, oh and a fuel filter

if the light is on have it checked first
