I have a chevy s 10 1985 long bed fleetside 2.8 v6 manual w/ 230,000 miles. I recently replaced my carrier bearing due to the rubbing noise it was making when the clutch was pressed. It ran fine for about three weeks, but now it makes a noise similar to the grinding of another bearing. The noise seems to be coming from directly below the cab. When the noise started up it was originally a loud chirping. The chirping has stopped and has been replaced with a rubbing sound. What should I check? Any help would be appreciated

I beleive I have the same problem. Except my truck won't move at all. It's the same truck 85 s10 longbox 2.8 v6. When the clutch is in it's quiet and fine when I let it out there's a horrible grinding noise from below the cab and the truck doesn't move. I changed the transmission and it worked great for a week and then the same thing happend again. It sounds like a similar problem but I was wondering if yours moves at all or if it's only noisy?
