95 S-10 Transmission problem

I am having a problem with my transmission in my 95 S10 4wd. It shifts hard sometimes and often seems to shift up and down when just riding down the road. I know there is supposed to be a way to ajust it but I don't know how. Any ideas? Or is there something else I can try? It runs good otherwise.

U can change your transmission fluid and filter, that may help? Also there is a lever on the side of your tranny. It will have a cable hooked on it, u can follow that cable and u should see an adjustment nut and screw. I would try the filter and oil first though. If it has never been changed it wouldnt hurt to do so.
