2004 Chevy S-10 4X4 wont engage

When shifting from 2hi to 4hi I get no response, but when I shift from 2hi to 4lo everything works, but when I go from 4lo to 4hi the 4hi button flahes twice then goes straight back to 2hi

Check to make sure you are getting power down there at the transfer case. If you are it's probably the motor, but check to make sure. It may be a relay, if you have an owners manual it may point out the relays, you could just switch a couple around to see if that's the problem.
