2003 Chevy S-10 Panic alarm issue

I have a problem with my truck when i lock it using my key remote. After a few hours, usually more then two, my panic alarm goes off. The horn honks until I unlock the door.

I recently had to replace the battery inside the key remote not sure if this has anything to do with my problem.

check the relay for the alarm . You'll haveto check your manual if you have it, although it may be in your underhood electrical center. It could be your key or key fob as well. If you have another try that first, always the easy stuff first..
