how do I repair the a/c cluch inside of the a/c unit?

It could be low on freon that is causing this. The only way to check is to have a set of gauges hooked up on it. But if you want to do it, you need a puller and installer for it. There is a nut in the center and a large snap ring to get to the coil that operates the clutch.
