Ok I had a timing chain go out, snap explode or break. I sent it into a shop they told me it was gonna be $800 to fix, ended up being $762. That was great! However they didnt change the oil or filter, I picked the truckup it sounded great! Drive it 60ish miles, now Im lost oil pressure and clunking sound internal within the motor! So now I take it back to shop. The tell me my motor is shot. SO Icalled around found out that this actually should have only cost $388ish. SO now im in a fight with the owner of the shop, However he states he did by accident over charge me by $250. But now my truck is dead, I little bird told me that the shop has pulled my motor and pulled the oil pan to find debris, and the main bearings are HOSED along with the CAM. SO now what do I do? The shop is now stating that that this problem happend when the timing chain went out. Even though they found debris in the housing they are stating its not there fault, is that true? Any Suggestions, (The shop did also go and get bearings and a rod to replace if needed) but now that this is found Donno what should do. Any HELP Would be GREAT!

Im dealling with almost the same thing amonth ago my timing chain went out taking the tesioner with it leaving lots of debri in the oil pan even though I did mine my self so it only cost me the parts about 60$ for the chain tensioner and new timing cover seal. I wish I would have nown about all the debri from the tensioner cuz I would of pulled the engine then and cleaned the pan cuz now a month later all of a sudden I have almost no oil presure after warm up so far I have changed the, oil pump, the main bearings, the rod bearings, and still have not gottn my oil presure back so I think the only thing left is my cam and cam bearings but idk. If I was you I would sue the shit out of them they are a profesional shop they should of known to drop the pan and get the debri im a novice so I missed it but they are sposed to be pros wtf. If you get to the bottom of your oil presure issue please let me know cuz im struggln here.

Did and still no definate answers yet iy under "lost oil presure the other day while passing" have done almost everything pos to fix other than cam bearings which look fine so its those or the block. Hmm so new question to post can a cracked block cause low oil presure once engine is warmed up and when I say low I mean low like almost zero at idle and mayb 15-20 when reving and 10 when just driving along but starts out at about 50 or 60 when first started. And yes these numbers are with a mechanical gauge and the bearings are new miced the crank and plastigauge etc new rod bearing oil pump sending unit only thing left I think is cams and or block but if im wrong please advise me on what else could be causing this low low low oil presure?
