Yesterday on the way home from work my heater was working fine and the temp gauge was reading normal. This morning I get in and the temp gauge went up abot 1/4 of the way and I have very little heat from the heater. I believe this may be a thermostat issue? Were is the thermostat located for this type of vehicle and is a "backyard mechanic" able to chage it or have that made almost impossible to do?

Thanks
Kurt

Sounds like a thermostat problem to me! It should be located at the point where the upper radiator hose meets the engine.

Just about anyone with the tools and a little bit of knowledge can change the thermostat. Sound like you will do just fine since you diagnosed the problem correctly.
