I have had problems with it engaging and disengaging I recently accidentally put it into four wheel drive and now it will not come out I tried everything neutral, park, reverse, forward nothing works. And I think I wore something out because after messing around with it so long the light on the 2wd will not even flash anymore. Before you could hear banging and stuff underneath as though it was trying now nothing. I checked the fusses and still nothing. I have no idea I know the transfer case is engaged because the front drive shaft in spinning but the front differential wont work. That is because the vacuum line has a hole in it some wheres. So right now the truck is saying that it is in four wheel drive but it isnt and I cant get it back to 2wd.

Turn ignition off. Remove 4WD fuse No. 15 (15-amp). Wait at least 40 seconds and reinstall fuse. Cycle ignition on and off 5 times

Check The harness under the passenger kick panel can have corroded terminals.

Scan for codes
