2000 Chevy S-10 Car Stays on but sometimes needs to be rest

I've had an intermittent check engine light but never have the issue when I take the car in. Sometimes, when starting off from 1st gear, the car will sound almost like it's flooded and won't accelerate, almost like the idle goes to nothing but doesn't turn off. Need to turn engine on and off once and it usually starts the problem. Problem is intermittent, will happen a number of times for a week or two and then go away for a month. Anyone else experience this issue?

If the light went on and stayed on for 10 seconds then there will be a code stored so get it checked. Auto parts stores can do this. But you can try cleaning your throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and the oblong hole by it. That holds the iac which gets gummy.
