2000 Chevy S-10 The check engine light comes on

Unless the light stays on it's really just a guessing game on which part to replace to keep it off. Usually this is caused by intermittantly failing sensor(s). Best thing to do is try to scan vehicle of trouble codes when engine lamp is on. This will pinpoint the cause of the light but remember the light must be on to do this.
