2000 Chevy S-10 1st gear problem

The 5 speed transmission will occasionally jump out of first gear all other gears and shifting working are fine. Sounds like synchro problem, but not sure. It does not mater if on level or hill.
If I can fid a good transmission in junk yard what years and models will fit (i.E. S-10/blzer)?

First make sure linkage isn't damaged not allowing it to fully engage. As far as the different years, I don't have any listing. I recommend staying with the same thing because they always seem to be changing something.
