1999 Chevy S-10 popping sound in front end

While sitting still I can turn the steering wheel and I hear a popping sound usually at about the end of the turn. This is while sitting still. Could it be the ball joint or bearing? I would appreciate your input very much

It sounds like a ball joint problem. Lift the vehicle by the frame. Make sure it is safe, and take the front wheels abot 8 inches off the ground. After you do that, place a pry bar under the tire. See if there is up and down movement in the ball joints.
