1999 Chevy S-10 Overdrive Problem

I am experiencing a "surge" from my S-10. It seems to be constantly going in and out of overdrive. The check engine light will not come on to run any error codes. Not sure what needs to be fixed or if the whole transmission needs to be replaced. I have changed the plugs and plug wires and had the fuel injection cleaned, nothing has helped. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check linkage and wires going to the transmission. If there is no problem there than take the vehicle and have the transmission checked, there may be internal problems. But I would check the electrical connections and linkage first.
