I replaced the fuse to the Air compressor clutch, clutch started the compressor. I added small amout of freon to the system. The air conditioning blew cold air air in the cab, Job done, right. Not so fast. Drove the vehicle and the fuse blows on the clutch curcuit. Engine RPM more than just idle.
System pressure about 40psi.
Bad coil in the clutch?
How to remove clutch from compressor?
3pc. Delco clutch. Coil is separate pc.
Bad compressor?

If the fuse blew the second you turn the a/c on?You could unplug the compressor and see if the fuse still blew with it unplugged.

The clutch works fine and the air conditioner functions at idle.
Put the vehicle in drive, raise the RPMs and the fuse blows

Go to a auto part's store and turn a new compressor for your truck so you can see what they feel like when you turn them by hand.
