97 S10 wont start, acts and smells like it is flooded. Tries to start a little but wont keep running, just blows gas smelling smoke out of the exhaust. It did the same thing a few weeks ago. Finally got it started and it worked fine for a couple of weeks and then the same symptoms again. I have drained all the gas, put in fresh, changed the fuel filter. Getting plenty of gas to the TBI.

Hello, can you put a scanner on it, to check for live engine data? Are the plugs fuel soaked, are you getting any spark? Are there any troublecodes? If the cts is telling the computer that the temp is zero degrees and it's 95 outside, it's not going to start. I'm not saying that sensor is faulty, but, a trouble code or live engine data might put you on the right track.

You can't tell much about fuel pressure by looking at the injector spray pattern. You need a gage.

Cant put a scanner on until it starts, the plugs are so so, getting spark yes, Put a code checker on and cant get a trouble code with out a check enging light. It has a spider injector system, it all checks out ok. Something has the air fuel mixture off.

If you have a scanner that will show live engine data, you can see a lot of info, key on engine off. I don't care about the check engine lite, I always check for codes, just a habit I guess.
