Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 129k miles

My 97 S-10 just recently started to misfire, but only in the morning when the engine is cold, after it warms up it seems to correct itself, I am thinking a bad plug or maybe moister, anything will help at this point, thanks.

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up?

Check the coolant temperature sensor and idle air control valve

Engine misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel
