1997 Chevy S-10 engine noise

I have a noise under the hood of my S10 that appears after the engine has warmed up. I sounds liker a "clatter". Its seems to track engine RPM. I've listened under the hood, and it sound like it is comming from the front of the engine. The pickup runs fine, and I haven't noticed any perfomance decrease. However I am a little worried since I can't seem to find the source. Could this sound be comming from the valve train?

Most assuridely probably the timming chain. Sound comming from behind water pump?

Yes it sounds like its is from behind the water pump. But it sounds a lot like detonation.
