1997 Chevy S-10 brake light

When I lightly push on my brake peddle the lights come on but if I push harder they go out but then they do not work at all. The tail lights and the turn signals work fine all of the time and I do belive the brake light and turn signal are the same bulb. Thank you

Need to inspect your brake light switch, mounted on top of brake pedal. Suspect that it is out of adjustment or needs replacing.

Check the brake switch sounds like its defective if its doing that.
