Im replacing the timing chain on my truck and I need to know about the gears behind the timing chain, do they need to be replaced to?

Hi there,

To get the best out of the new chain, you should be fitting a full timing kit, with sprockets, guide rails and tensioner, they all work together to ensure correct valve timing, the gear teeth will be worn and this will put the valve timing out a little.
