1993 Chevy S-10 runs ok then blows black smoke etc.

It will stumble and die then will restart in clear flood mode! It has a dtc 15 and has put a dtc14(14 is high temp. And 15 is low temp.). The dtc 15 is very concistent.I checked the temp. Sensor and it shows 5 volts when unplugged and the resistance is 400 ohms warm and 4.4k cool! I added two bottles of gas dryer at first, thinking I had bad fuel!

Best thing to do is to hook it up to a scan tool to see what the ECM is reading. Low temp should be about -40 degrees. The ECM is seeing a sensor failure and substituting a default value.

Check the wiring to the CLT sensor and I would change it. If the sensor and wiring are good, it may be a bad ECM.
