Ok so I change the trans. Fluid and filter but I am still getting the hard shift it's a bit of a jolt from 1st to 2nd gear and sometimes park and reversre and there was no metal particals to speak of in the trans. Pan is there something else the do- it yourselfer can do?

Hi:
On a 93 I believe there is a vacuum module on the side of the trans that you should check. Many times it will leak ATF into the vacuum line going to it.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks for your reply. Is the vacuum module visible from under the trans. Or do it have to be removed and whitch side?

Hi:
Yes you should be able to see it. It will be on the front side of the trans (to the best of my knowledge) and there will be a vacuum hose running to it.

I hope this helps. So much technology is introduced every year, it gets hard to remember some things.
