i changed the fuel pump, tps and iac in my truck and now my idle is erratic up and down and I have a thunk when you put it in to drive and then it does it again when you are going about 25 miles an hour, I have tried to adjust the idle screw but it fixes it for awhile but then it reverts back to up and down

The idle is not adjustable at all on that truck. It is entirely controlled by the computer. All you have accomplished is to totally mess up the throttle plate stop adjustment

You may have a bad throttle body. They have some problems with the EGR leaking exhaust into the base of the throttle body.

You could also have a bad IAC but if it's high mileage, the throttle plates may be too work to resolve the issue.
